McAllister scored his second goal on the 67th minute and this was followed by Quinn scoring his second on the 76th minute.

Demesne never gave up the chase but by the time Jon Alexander pulled a goal back, the tie was safe for Carnlough.

Other results: Ballynure Old Boys Youth 4, Cookstown Athletic 5 (aet); Newtownabbey Sevens Reserves 0, Killymoon Rangers Reserves 1; Dundrod Old Boys 1, Red Star 1 (aet, Dundrod won 5-4 on pens).

COUNTY ANTRIM JUNIOR SHIELD

Carniny Amateurs 2, 54th Old Boys 1: This was a good win for Carniny and put them into the hat for the third round draw.

Carniny took the lead on the 20th minute after Barry Hamill hit a screamer of a 20 yard shot into the top corner of the visitors net.

After this goal Carniny continued to push forward and extended their lead when Nicky McCartney finished off a good move when scoring on the 36th minute.

Carniny had chances after this but failed to capitalise on this then on the 82nd minute the visitors broke through with a goal causing Carniny a few nervy minutes until the final whistle.

Antrim Rovers 1, 2nd Old Boys 'C' 2: Antrim were very unlucky not to have taken this game to extra time as it was a very late breakaway by the visitors that won the game.

The visitors took the lead on the 18th minute but after this it was Antrim who controlled the game getting back on level terms after Jonny Graham scored on the 63rd minute.

Antrim then had many chances to score but failed to do so then a break by the visitors on the 86th minute saw them score the winner.
