The Half Bred Horse Breeders Society were pleased to welcome a very large crowd who attended the final of the three year old loose jumping championship.

Organisers would like to send a special thank you to judge Mr Ian Fearon for his time and knowledge. He was very impressed with the quality and standard of the young horses competing.

Marks were close with few separating the top ten. Thanks also go to Diane Harron-Eakin of Ringfort Sport Horses for her fantastic commentry which was greatly appreciated by all present.

Congratulations to the breeders and owners of the 32 horses who made it through from the many horses who competed in the qualifying rounds to go through to the final. It is worth noting that past competitions have shown that many horses below the top ten have gone on to compete at the top level.

The purpose of this competition is to provide a shop window for the breeders to show their wares and let buyers from here and further afield see the quality of what is being bred and produced. It was noted buyers were active on the night and a number of horses throughout the course of this competition changed hands.
