Dress to impress at Down Royal
Miss NI, Tiffany Brien, is riding high as she prepares for Down Royal Ladies Day on 23 June
ONE of the biggest social and stylish days-out in Northern Ireland’s event calendar, Ladies Day, will return to Down Royal Racecourse on Saturday 23 June and promises to be more stylish than ever.
Dressed to impress and riding high on the crest of her recent win, the newly crowned Miss NI is all smiles as she leads the way in the style stakes, where she’s sure to be amongst the ‘Best Dressed’ at Ladies Day, part of the two-day Summer Festival of Racing at Down Royal Racecourse.
With a luxurious four night trip to Monte Carlo up for grabs for the Best Dressed Lady, fashionistas should get inspired by the glamour of our favourite royals - Monaco’s Grace Kelly and the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton - and dress ‘wholly’ appropriate in racing lace to be the ‘mane’ attraction.
Whilst the royal wedding saw sales of lace soar, ladies should stay clear of going down the bridal path and take the lead from our stars of the red carpet, in romantic and delicate creations in an array of colours and styles.
So whether you opt for a vintage find for a classic look or opt for a more contemporary take on the lace theme, it’s game on to be the first past the post in the style stakes.
The Best Dressed lady will swap the racecourse for the runway in Monaco, Europe’s playground for the rich and famous; the prize includes return flights to Nice, four nights in four star hotel accommodation, helicopter transfers, and £500 spending money.
The competition is open to all ladies attending Ladies Day. Gates open from noon on Derby Day, Saturday 23 June, with the first race starting at 2.20pm. Admission is £15 with hospitality options available from £55. Entrance tickets can be purchased online, from the racecourse office or at the turnstiles on the day.
