Eventing Ireland National Championships

The second Eventing Ireland National Championships kicks off at the home of the Tattersalls International Horse Trials, Tattersalls Ireland today (Friday, August 12) at noon with the first of the dressage phases.

Over 300 of the top combinations will be competing during the weekend, all battling for the coveted title of being an Eventing Ireland National Champion and to get a share of the €20,000 in prize money along with additional prizes provided by sponsors.

Cross country course walks will be taking place on Friday and Saturday evening. International riders Luke Drea will be walking the CNC1*, Sam Watson will be taking you round the EI90 and Sarah Ennis guiding you through the EI100 tracks.

Huge amounts of work have been undertaken by FEI International Course Designer Eugene O’Neill to make the Eventing Ireland National Championships cross country track as inviting as possible, and this includes black flag options. Ground is also a priority and currently, the ground is in excellent order.

International multi-talented musician Liam O’Connor will be providing the entertainment on Saturday evening in the Tattersalls function room. This will be a great opportunity to chat to fellow competitors about the day and to discuss plans for the final phase on Sunday.

Eventing Ireland would like to thank the entire team at Tattersalls Ireland for the time and work they have given to make the National Championships a success.
