A thrilling and action-packed day is anticipated as competitors fight it out for the very generous prizes on offer.

Last year’s winners in the team classes will have to fend off challenges from a number of schools in order to retain their titles. The individual classes are sure to create the usual feast of excitement as adults and young people give their all in pursuit of the silverware.

Commencing at 9.15am, the classes are Starter Stakes, Newcomers 45cms, Newcomers Pairs, 60cm Novice, 70cm Speed Class, Ride and Run Novelty Class, Novice & Open Inter-Schools/College Team classes and finally the 1 metre open class. There really is something to suit all abilities and everyone is welcome.

Perpetual Cups and shields are awarded in all classes with prizes for those placed first to sixth. Horse Rugs have been sponsored by Omagh Equestrian and Countrywear for the winners in six of the classes while Jim Kells Photography has sponsored numnahs as prizes in all classes.

Sponsorship has been gained from Boyd Bedding, Kerr Bros Bodyshop, TJ’s School of Motoring, Sperrin Springs, Lyons Transport, Jim Kells Photography, Omagh Equestrian and Countrywear, Baileys Horse Feed, Thompson’s Farmfeeds, Happy Pets and WW Tyres. Many other local businesses have given generous vouchers for prizes. Without such support this charity event could not proceed in the way that it does.

Last year a cheque for £500 was presented to Omagh Riding for the Disabled Group as a result of the show and once again proceeds from the show will be donated to Omagh RDA in recognition of their valuable work with the young people of this area.

All entries will be taken on the day with the exception of the team classes which must be entered before the show. The closing date for team entries is Monday 24 October. For further details please contact Mrs Gillian Quigley at Omagh High School, 02882242656 or email [email protected].
