First working hunter show at Arvalee

PREPARATIONS are well underway for the first of the 2012 Working hunter shows organised by Omagh-based riding club, Arvalee (ARC).

The first show will take place on the St Patrick’s Day Bank Holiday Monday, 19th March, and will include Northern Ireland festival qualifiers for both horses and ponies.

A variety of classes will be offered with something suitable for everyone with classes ranging from cradle stakes ponies to 1m ponies as well as M & M classes; horses will also have a variety of classes including Newcomers, 70cms and classes up to 1.10m.

Many of the classes on the day will also be qualifiers for the Northern Ireland Festival, further details of the classes that are qualifiers can be obtained from show director, Sonya McAleer on 07874 350 665.

Arvalee Riding Club are also delighted to have several sponsors helping to deliver a great show.

Further shows are planned during the year. The Easter Extravaganza on 7th April, a Show Jumping Show in May (details to follow) and finishing with the summer spectacular at Omagh Show in July. Details will be emerging over the next few months regarding this exciting development at one of Northern Ireland’s largest agricultural and equestrian events.
