This year the bursary was awarded to Amy McGarvey, from Co. Donegal, by Mr Joe Osborne, Managing Director of Kildangan Stud.

Amy has since gone on to graduate and was awarded the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) award, the Vaughan Trust award and the Tullyraine House Cup for being the top BSc (Hons) Equine Management degree student.

In addition to this accolade she also received the Irish Draught Horse Society cup for the best dissertation produced by a final year degree student.

The support and guidance provided to Amy and her fellow students by Godolphin has been invaluable. CAFRE continues to work together with Godolphin to provide the equine industry with knowledgeable and enthusiastic employees.
