Kavanagh makes it a trio in 1.30m

The sun shone at the Meadows Equestrian Centre for the latest instalment of their SJI Horse League. Finding good fortune on this visit to the Lurgan complex was Kildare rider Sean Kavanagh.

On board Rachel Stafford’s seven-year-old Bay Mare ‘Dungar Clover Breeze’ by Boherdeal Breeze Kavanagh was the clear winner, with over one second’s clearance against his closest rival Emma Jackson. Kavanagh also secured pacings in the 1.30 with ‘Galway Girl’ and ‘Newgrange Lady’ who Kavanagh also took second place in the 1.20m with.

Jumping continues at the Meadows Equestrian Centre next weekend May with the final of the current league. Further events include RDS pony Qualifier (May 28), TRI Horse and Pony Show (3-5th June) and TRI Pony Final (June 26). With a new league commencing on Saturday, June 25.
