Mid Antrim Pony Club are going from strength to strength with a string of achievements, awards and Personal Bests this season.

For the first time Mid Antrim PC had a Novice Eventing Team at the UK Championships in Cheshire. The team consisted of Nikki McNiece, Morgan Skillen, Hannah Thompson and Kirstin Thom.

Although the team wasn’t placed there was a personal best for Morgan Skillen in completing the exacting cross country course and going clear in her showjumping and also for Kirstin Thom in dressage.

Lizzy Graham competed at Intermediate Eventing and thoroughly enjoyed completing this challenging and exciting cross country course, to go clear in showjumping with a very respectable dressage test too.

Another first for Mids was having an Intermediate Dressage Team attend the Championships. This team consisted of Lizzy Graham, Ami McNiece, Hannah Winters and Nikki McNiece.

Again although the team wasn’t placed it was a fantastic result for the club and all team members were very pleased with their horses.

Kirstin Thom competed in the Individual Novice Dressage with a beautiful test performed on the day by Nathan her pony. Kirstin was delighted to be placed fourth in her own arena.

Two Club Members competed in the Senior Open Endurance Competition, Morgan Skillen on Mayo and Kirstin Thom on Nathan. This was a very tightly contested Endurance Ride and their determination and preparation was very evident on the day. This is the top award in this discipline and Morgan Skillen was ecstatic to finish in first place and Kirstin Thom in third place was also very pleased with her pony in such a very tight field of competitors.

Luke Cunningham competed in Polocrosse and was truly delighted to be awarded second place in Tack and Turnout and for his team (a mixed team from across NI clubs) to be placed fifth.
