Covering classes 1m to 1.35m, the summer tour is designed to encourage the development of horses and riders so they can fulfil their potential and at the top level get them ready to move up to National Grand Prix level in the future.

Speaking on behalf of the region, chairperson Janet Currie said she is “very pleased to welcome TRI Equestrian on board for the Ulster Region Summer Tour 2016”.

Commencing on May 1 at Portmore Equestrian Centre and running throughout the region with legs at both centres and agricultural shows, competitors in the TRI Equestrian Summer Tour will have the opportunity to experience the sights and sounds of some of the best shows in the Ulster Region.

The Final is scheduled to be held on September 3 taking place in Balmoral Park, Lisburn.

Creating the perfect backdrop to the 2016 Tour, Balmoral Park provides the opportunity for our home grown talent to jump on what is regarded as one of the best grass surfaces in Europe.
