Enniskillen’s annual Horse and Pony Show took place at Necarne Castle on Saturday June 20th. The weather was kind, leaving all arenas perfect underfoot for non stop jumping and showing throughout the day.

One of the highlights in the showjumping rings was the 1.30m, sponsored by Watts & Stone and Fermanagh & Omagh District Council.

Competition was fierce over the John Chambers designed course, and Peter Smyth rode Enda Houston’s Mr Blaney into winning position.

Desmond Rolston, Show Chairman presented the Mavis Rolston Perpetual Memorial Cup on behalf of the Enniskillen Show.

The Bothwell Farm Feeds Working Hunter classes were well supported with additional entries attracted by the opportunity to qualify for the 2016 NI Festival. The showing judges were kept on their toes judging a full range of showing classes, including ridden ponies, ridden hunters, connemaras, young and breeding stock. The new Fancy Dress class drew in a number of new exhibitors, with a zebra, a unicorn and a John Deere tractor amongst the entrants!

Desmond Rolston, Show Chairman said: “We are indebted to all our sponsors who have supported us and made the show possible, and to all the competitors who have competed here today.
