The third qualifier of the Riders Working Hunter League at Lusk Equestrian on 28th November produced a treble of wins for Emma Jackson and a double for Elaine McKenna.
Emma won the four year olds, cobs and 90cm while Elaine proved her superior skill in the 1m and 1m10.
Fiona Young won in the Small Hunters while local rider Neil Knox won the 80cm both times in a close contest with Emma Jackson close on their heels
in second place.
Kirsty Stuart claimed the 70cm in a day when the low cloud and fog came down with everyone just thankful to be inside and able to avail of Jackie Polands fantastic cooking in the coffee shop which started at 9.30am with cooked breakfast.
The courses as usual were fair and tested the riders and horses ability. So often one knockdown changed the result of the class. The judges Mr and Mrs Albert Lowry from Newtownards and local showing expert Robert Morrow were complimentary of the facilities and courses throughout the day.
Harold and Jenny Lusk thank all the helpers who gave up their time to make the qualifier a success and look forward to the next qualifier at Gransha on Saturday, December 12.
