Students at CAFRE'S Enniskillen Campus enjoy the sights at a recent Down Royal Meeting. Kauto Star, winner of the Cheltenham Gold Cup in 2007, ran in the feature race.
Naturally a group of Enniskillen students wanted to see what the horse could do and they made the journey to Down Royal with a keen sense of anticipation. Kauto Star did not disappoint them, winning easily after an immaculate display of galloping and
jumping.
On one of the few really good days this autumn, the students joined the very large crowd and also enjoyed the supporting races, featuring horses such as Noland, Ross Accord, Sarteano, Sole Bonne Femme, Imaalhall and Rhyl Accord, who all won their respective races.
This was an important opportunity for those students who study modules such as 'The Horse Racing Industry' and 'Advanced Enterprise Management' to see the best of what the industry can offer to its workers and to the public. There is no doubt that in the near future some of them will be directly involved!
