The Ulster trainer and car dealer saw In The Loop (Roger Loughran) demolish Aintree Grand National contenders Dun Doire and former Irish Grand National winner Point Barrow to collect the Tennents Chase and the local winner has now options of the Iris
h or Scottish Grand Nationals in the coming weeks.
The success of In The Loop despite being rated in excess of 2st inferior of the main pair failed to deter supporters backing the winner from 14/1 to 8/1.

Omagh-based Mervyn Torrens continued his current run of success when his German import Kronos a dual winner on the flat made a winning debut of hurdles in the opener at the expense of odds on favourite Direct Excess which had every chance behind the resolute winner.
Banbridge trainer Gerry Cosgrave quickly followed up for the Ulster training ranks when Naujellas Girl went one better than last time at Downpatrick when claiming the handicap hurdle from the Strabane trained The Corby Glen.
The veteran Big Zoomo lead a 1-2-3 for Ulster connections in the hunterchase the winner owned and trained by Sean McParlan and ridden by his son Noel who was recording his seventh track success in addition to multiple point to point winners and supplied winner number four of the afternoon for local trainers.
