The 29th Ballygowan Vintage Club rally was held on 19th September at Tullygarvin Road, Ballygowan.
There was a record turnout of vehicles dating from the mid twenties to modern classics in the “Car, van and motorcycle” class and a surprising number of large modern tractors determined to outdo each other pulling the sleigh or on the dynamometer.
An impressive display of the original “wee” grey Fergusons surrounded the Ferguson Heritage caravan.
Both MG cars and Minis were there in numbers to support their clubs. The Ballygowan club is fortunate to have the era of steam power always represented at the rally in the form of Wilmar Bryces’ traction engine.
The really young had free access to bouncy castles while parents could browse some 20 stalls.
