The Dexter Cattle Society NI Group annual dinner took place in November at The Ramble Inn, Antrim where the company enjoyed an excellent meal of Dexter beef.

Chairman Deirdre Hilton MBE introduced the proceedings of the evening giving a resume of the events of the year. She then introduced Colin McDonald from R.U.A.S. Balmoral as the guest speaker.

His illustrated talk was very entertaining and enlightening on the development of the new Balmoral Park.

Mr and Mrs McDonald were then asked to present the cups and trophies to the winners of classes at Balmoral Show in May, The Rare Breeds Survival Trust’s Show at Gosford in September and Regional Shows in Northern Ireland.

The raffle, organised by Alex Montgomery, was a great success raising over £150 which will be donated to The Northern Ireland Hospice.

Mrs Hilton thanked the speaker Colin McDonald for his entertaining talk, The Ramble Inn staff for an excellent meal and service, and all who had worked so hard during the year in support of the Dexter Group.

She wished everyone a safe journey home and showing success in 2015.
