Back Nolans of Kilcullen as they aim to be Champion of Champions!

The Countryside Alliance Awards, aka the “Rural Oscars,” are celebrating their 10th anniversary with a special Champion of Champions scheme. Every Champion of the last ten years is being invited back to re-compete for Champion of Champions titles and Nolan’s of Kilcullen are in the mix.

Nolan’s of Kilcullen won the overall UK & Ireland Butcher title in 2011, making this fifth generation family run butchers eligible for the Champion of Champions scheme.

James Nolan will be competing against butchers from the UK and the competition is likely to be fierce. The scheme is reliant on a public vote and will be open online from 1st November.

Lyall Plant, Chief Executive of Countryside Alliance Ireland commented: “Nolan’s of Kilcullen were worthy champions in 2011 and I ask that everyone gets behind them now to help them be named the greatest butchers the Rural Oscars has ever seen. They are the only CAI winner in the scheme so it’s important that we all unite behind them and support this exceptional family business.”
