Bank of Ireland is sponsoring the ring craft and showmanship classes at the forthcoming Pedigree Calf Fair.
More than 20 entries have been received for the showmanship section of the one-day event which takes place on Saturday 19th November at the Balmoral Showgrounds in Belfast.
Showmanship judging will commence in the main arena at 1.00pm, and there are two classes for competitors aged 12 to 16-years-old, and 17 to 21-years-old. Judge is Laurent Antignac from Northamptonshire.
Bank of Ireland’s agricultural manager William Thompson said: “We are delighted to confirm our continued support of the Pedigree Calf Fair @ Beef NI Expo.
“The beef sector remains the largest sub-sector in the agri-food industry, accounting for over 20% in total sales and employment. It remains a key growth area for Bank of Ireland, and is a sector where we are keen to increase our presence.”
William Thompson continued: “The Bank of Ireland stand will have a number of business advisers in attendance throughout the day. We are looking forward to the calf fair, and the opportunity to meet local farmers and industry representatives.
“Our agri-package account has experienced a significant increase in uptake over the past twelve months, and includes 100% free transactional current account banking for the first two years, followed by 50% in the third year.
“Bank of Ireland also offers a competitive range of agri borrowing solutions, including asset finance and term loans for capital arrangements, a business credit card and other benefits.”
