On October 8th members of Mourne Young Farmers’ Club took to Kilkeel harbour to help clean up all the rubbish that prevented members of the public from enjoying a day at the beach.

The club would like to thank everyone who was able to come and do their bit to clean up Kilkeel beach.

Mourne YFC would like to thank Andrew Gracey from the Ulster Wildlife Trust for coming along and helping the club with this worthy cause to help protect the wildlife around the harbour and helping us complete the cllub’s first ‘Grass Roots Challenge’.

The club look forward to meeting up again for their next challenge. If you would like to find out more about the ‘Grass Roots challenge’ do not hesitate to check out their Facebook page.

Don’t forget it is not too late if you would like to join Mourne YFC. If you are aged between 12 and 30 come along and see what Mourne YFC is all about. You don’t have to be a farmer to be a member of the young farmer club.

A fun filled and exciting winter programme has been organised with lots of opportunities to take part in a wide range of competitions throughout the coming year.

The club’s next meeting is on Monday, November 7th.

For more information do not hesitate to call Rebecca on 07922546605 or send the club a message through Facebook.
