The NI Limousin Cattle Club are thrilled to run a Suckler Herd Competition for 2015 which will highlight and reward the best commercial herds using Limousin bulls and genetics.

Local judge is going to be Paul Rainey, Kilrea who has strong links with both pedigree and commercial cattle operations and will judge herds prior to the upcoming suckler calf shows and sales to be held in late September and October.

The club will award the top three competitors in each of the two categories: [A] Herds up to 49 suckler cows (small),[B] Herds above 50 suckler cows (large). Special thanks must go to Swatragh Livestock Market representative Paul Coyle who has kindly sponsored the event. Placed entrants in both categories will receive prizes and awards at the annual dinner dance on Saturday 7th November at Armagh City Hotel.

All herds must either have a pedigree Limousin bull or be predominantly using Limousin Ai within their herd.
