In September 11 members of the Coleraine YFC travelled to Scotland to spend the weekend with the club’s Scottish neighbours who had travelled over to Northern Ireland in August.

It was so good meeting up with Scottish friends again from the Stranraer and Rhines Young Farmers’ and other club members. They were great hosts and took members of Coleraine YFC out and about, with plenty of craic. A great weekend was had by all.

The floral art the topic this year was ‘Let Colour Run Riot’ with the top competitors from each country going through to the Young Farmers of Ulster finals at the Balmoral Show in May 2015.

Congratulations to: 14-16 Maxine Smyth, 16-18 Ruth Adams and 18-21 Alexandra Deans.

The Young Farmers of Ulster rally day was had at CAFRE Loughry campus on the 11 October where there were workshops to build knowledge in a wide range of skills.

The county public speaking heats were on 22nd October. Well done to: Prepared 12-14, Cara Miller, 21-25, Hilary Cameron, Impromptu 21-25, Russell Smyth.

Well done to all who participated in all these competitions and congratulations to those who were placed.

Coleraine YFC would like to give a big thank you to Valerie Cochrane, Kay Henry and May Cameron for giving up their time to help members with the public speaking and group debating.
