Dairy stock sells to £1100 at Markethill

Dairy stock sold to £1100 each at Markethill on Tuesday 9th August paid for a calved heifer from a Mayobridge producer.

The same owner received £1040 for a calved heifer.

CULL COWS

The 120 cull cows sold in a steady trade. Beef-bred cows from £125 to 3157 for 734k at £1155. Top price £1190 for 780k (153). Fleshed Friesian cows from £95 to £108 for 650k at £700. Second quality friesians from £80 to £90 per 100 kilos with the poorest types from £55 to £75 per 100 kilos.
