Digger stolen from Markethill field

Police in Armagh are appealing for information following the theft of a digger.

Sometime between 12 noon on Thursday, 18 February and 11am on Wednesday, 24 February an orange Hitachi 130 2X tracked digger was taken from a field on Coolmillish Road, Markethill.

It is believed the digger was moved across country to Castleview Road where it was then transported by another vehicle.

Police would like to hear from anyone who observed an orange Hitachi tracked digger being transported on a lorry or low loader in this area, probably during the hours of darkness. Police are also reminding the public to take steps to secure your vehicles. If you have a valuable piece of equipment or machinery, make sure that it is kept at a safe location and properly secured. If you notice machinery or equipment being moved and it appears out of place or suspicious please phone police immediately on 101, or 999 in an emergency.
