An entry of 500 store cattle, weanlings and sucklers at Markethill on Saturday 16th July sold in a steady trade for all stock.

BULLOCKS: The 150 store bullocks returned an excellent trade for all classes. Good quality middleweights to £206 for 500k at £1030 from a Newtownhamilton farmer. Main demand from £190 to £198 per 100 kilos. Forward bullocks sold to £1300 paid for a 710k Lim from a Glenanne farmer (183). Main demand from £175 to £205 for 550k at £1130 from a Cullyhanna farmer. Suitable Friesian steers sold from £135 to £145 per 100 kilos with several top quality lots from £150 to £163 for 626k at £1020 from a Newtownhamilton farmer.
