Fire crews rescue cow from slurry tank

The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service was called into action early this morning to rescue a cow which had fallen into a slurry tank in Co Tyrone.

Firefighters and specialist rescue teams wearing breathing apparatus used a gas monitor, slings and a telehandler to rescue the animal from the tank at Lurganeden Road, Pomeroy.

Fire crews from Pomeroy, Dungannon, Cookstown and Omagh stations attended the incident.
