Good luck to YFCU’s Queen of the Land

Elaine Crozier from Collone YFC will be representing YFCU at the 51st anniversary of the Queen of the Land Festival.

The competition will take place from Friday 13th to Sunday 15th November at Tullamore Co Offaly, offering the contestants a weekend of sheer luxury and entertainment.

The event will allow participants to be judged on their personality as well as rural knowledge and awareness, in an attempt to take home the ‘WR Shaw Queen of the Land’ title.

Elaine Crozier a 23 year old graduate trainee manager at Moy Park, although nervous, is excited about attending the festival.

She says: “I’m not 100% sure what I have let myself in for but it looks like it will be great craic and I’m sure I’ll meet plenty of people.

“I’ve already been in contact with members of Macra na Feirme to see what it’s all about.”

The winning Queen will receive the WR Shaw QOTL tiara, The QOTL sponsored perpetual trophy and the WR Shaw sponsored €1,000 prize as well as a specially commissioned piece of Galway Crystal from Cahill Jewellers, Tullamore and a two-night break in the Bridge House Hotel, Tullamore.
