Hampshire Down spring lamb show and sale Rathfriland

Mr Billy Morton of Ballyards, Armagh with his pair of Hampshire Down cross lambs were judged champion pair by Master butcher Jim Quail at the club’s annual spring lamb competition at Rathfriland mart on 24th March.

They went on to be sold for £106 making a kilo price of £5.04

Sean Doyle of Loughbrea flock received reserve champion pair of pure bred lambs weighing in at 21kg. These sold for £96/£4.57kg

Alan McFadden of Ashley flock was placed second pure breds weighing 19kg and sold to £86/£4.52.
