Heifers sell to £1045 at Rathfriland

The largest entry this spring saw a larger entry of heifers sell to £1045 from Ballinaskeagh with a second lot at £1000 from the same farm.

Bullocks sold to £1090 for a 15 month old Lim from Backaderry with young bulls to £1080 from the same farm. Fr bullocks o £845 for a 624k from Hilltown.

A very large entry of weanlings cleared up to £795 for a 332k Lim from Leitrim. Fat cows sold to £965 for a 770k Lim from Ballyward. 10 springing cows sold to £1080, £1050 and £1000 twice from Kilkeel. Dropped calves to £390 for a Sim bull from Ballyholland and to £370 twice for two heifer calves from Banbridge.

Just short of 1000 head on Tuesday evening saw 285 fat ewes sell to £115 from Ballymartin. A great entry of 212 spring lambs cleared up to £102 with the top 10 lots from £97.50 to £102. 400 hoggets cleared up to £98.50 on 3 occasions for farmer from Castlewellan, Newry and Rathfriland. The top 10 lots of hoggets from £96 to £98.50. Ewes and lambs sold to £175 from Dromara.
