The sale has attracted an entry of 22 heifers and 15 deep pedigreed bulls, and takes place at the Pedigree Sales Arena, Moira, on Wednesday 15th April.

Judging commences at 10.30am and is in the capable hands of Ian Watson from the Majestic herd based at Macosquin, Coleraine.

The sale gets underway at 11.30am.

The female portion of the catalogue includes entries from the Garaba, Hilltara, Inch, Laurelhill and Relough herds. The fresh calved heifers on offer are daughters of leading AI sires such as Sudan, Iota, Nefas, Wyman and Doberman.

The bulls catalogued are sons of world-renowned sires including Galaxy, Massey, History, McCutchen, Uno and Cruise.

Herds represented in the bull portion of the sale include Ballycairn, Carrowcroft, Cluntagh, Hilltara, Inch and Relough.

Auctioneer Michael Taaffe said: “This is a sale not to be missed. We have something for everyone, with fresh calved heifers from proven cow families with good production and components, and a selection of bulls from many of the province’s leading herds. The top PLI bull in the catalogue is £401, and there are eight bulls selling with PLIs above £300.”
