Members of Holstein Northern Ireland are reminded that its 16th annual general meeting takes place on Monday 13th April.

The venue is the Ballinderry Inn, Moira, commencing at 8pm. The event is generously sponsored by Dairy Herd Management.

Guest speaker for the evening is Richard Pilkington from the noted Aintree herd based at Shordley Hall, Wrexham, North Wales.

Mr Pilkington, and his wife Ruth, farm a total of 800 acres. Other farming enterprises include a flock of 650 ewes, a 17-stable livery business, and a small herd of Red Devon cattle.

They are currently milking 230 cows with an average yield in excess of 10,000kgs.

Outgoing chairman Gaston Wallace said: “I would urge members to take time out of their busy schedule to attend the AGM. It’s a great opportunity to get an insight into the high profile Aintree Herd, and to meet up with fellow Holstein Club members.”
