Improving trade for 1300 sheep at Markethill

An entry of 1300 sheep at Markethill on Wednesday sold in an improving trade.

Store lambs sold to a top price of £71 for 14.7kilos (483). Middleweights sold to £82 for 22.5kilos (364). Heavy lambs topped at £88 for 24.5kilos (359).

Cull ewes sold to £106 each. Main demand sold from £60 to £98 each with plainer ewes from £37 to £59 each.
