Increased entries at Downpatrick sales

Six men arrested after 'serious assault' in Co Antrim bar.
Police said that at around 6pm a group of men entered McConnell's Bar on Main Street in Doagh with weapons including hammers and baseball bats before attacking a man in his 40s.
The man was taken to hospital where he's being treated for serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Detective Sergeant Robinson said: "We believe that the males then left the scene on foot to waiting cars and left the area.

There was a further increase in entries at the weekly sheep sale on Saturday, 16th April including breeding sheep returned a steady trade with fat lambs selling to £99.00 and fat ewes to £91.00. A pen of 25 lambs sold to £3.68ppk.

At the weekly cattle sale on Monday night 18th April 2016, there was a good entry of quality store cattle. A Clough farmer toped the sale with an CH bullock at 240kg £645 (2.69ppk). In the heavy weight bullock’s category, a Downpatrick farmer presented an AA at 574kg £935 (1.63ppk).
