The sensational singing and yodelling star, Kenny Archer, will, once again, be the special guest at the twelfth annual Vintage Rally and Family Fun Day being held on Saturday 26 September from 11am to 4pm at the Kilcronaghan Centre, near Tobermore.

Vintage exhibits will include tractors, cars, lorries, vans, motorbikes, stationary engines, bicycles, etc. Indeed everything vintage will be welcome.

There will be a full programme of events including family pet show, pottery demonstration, line dancing, Scottish and Irish dancing, children’s games, bouncy castle, sheep dog demonstration, face painting, climbing wall, etc.

This year additional attractions for children will include pony rides and an opportunity to meet characters from Frozen.

A car boot sale will be running throughout the day and the event has become so successful that additional space will be opened up for stalls.

As usual, a wide range of stalls, including crafts and home produce, will add to the festival atmosphere.

Hot food will be available to purchase and exhibitors will have a light lunch and a small souvenir included in their fee.

The event is part-funded by a festival grant from Mid-Ulster Council and the organising committee is most grateful for this support.

There will be an art exhibition displaying the work of those who have attended the Kilcronaghan painting classes. Sampler sessions of reflexology, glass painting and beauty therapy will be available.

This year’s family pet show is being sponsored, and run by, Glenshane Vets. Extra car parking facilities will, once again, be available this year and full use will be made of the conference centre, the classroom and the marquee.

The fourth Saturday of September now marks one of the largest, and most diverse, community festival days in south Derry. Five roads lead directly to this five-road-ends junction - an ideal rural location at the centre of the Draperstown – Tobermore – Desertmartin triangle.
