1843 sheep on Tuesday evening saw a 100% clearance in a much improved trade.

Fat lambs sold to 330.4 pence for 23k @ £76 from Glenloughlin with a second lot 23k @ £73 for the same farm. Many heavy lambs sold at the £3.00 per kilo mark. Fat ewes sold to £88 and Fat Rams to £142.

Cattle remained a good consistent trade on Friday with over 100 dropped calves selling in a fantastic trade.

Calves a few months old cleared up to £550 for a Camlough farmer for a Her heifer. A Keady farmer sold a Lim heifer for £530. A Castlewellan farmer sold 2 Hereford bulls @ £455 each. 25 calves sold at over £300 per head. Weanling calves cleared up to £940 for a Ballyward farmer with a second lot at £920. A Kinallen farmer reached £890 for a Sim bull. Store heifers reached £1145 for an AA from Ballinran. 2 Sim heifers from Rathfriland sold at £980 and £960 for 400k and 410k. Suckler cows sold to £1380 from an Edenagarry farmer and to £1300 for a Kilkeel farmer. Bullock trade was excellent with £1185 paid for a 630k Sim from Rathfriland. A 616k lot from this farm sold at £1100.
