The Lornbrook Flock are no strangers to winning at Balmoral, this is their fourth Interbreed title and the twelfth Breed Championship they have won at this prestigious event. Charollais were also placed Reserve in the Interbreed Pairs with the first prize Shearling Ewe and the first prize Shearling Ram, both shown by the Lornbrook Flock.

The Supreme Champion Beechview “Naughty but Nice” was purchased privately from the Beechview Flock of George and Jason Booth. Sired by Tullyear Krackerjack and out of a Parkgate Hunter sired dam this smart well muscled ewe was a great example of the Breed. Standing Reserve to her in the Female Breed Champion Line Up was her Full sister, a shearling ewe purchased at Dungannon Female Sale by the Lornbrook Flock for 1200gns.

Judge Cecil Thomas from Coventry chose his Reserve Champion from the Bunderg Flock of Robert and Gary Scott, already crowned Male Champion this Senior Ram Rhaeadr Magic impressed the Judge with his superb giggotts and tremendous fleshing. Reserve Male Champion went to the Shearling Ram presented by the Lornbrook Flock.

Purchased from the Hollylodge Flock of McConnell Brothers at Dungannon Premier 2014 this ram is half brother to the multi prize winning Ram Hollylodge Made to Measure. Sired by Tullyear Norris he stood Reserve in the Interbreed Pairs with the Lornbrook Shearling Ewe.

In the Ram Lamb class it was the turn of the Artnagullion Flock of William McAllister winning the red rosette with a strong ram sired by Rutland Humdinger and out of a Ballyhibbon Kickstart sired Dam. First prize in the ewe lambs went to Jonathan Aiken’s Carnew Flock with a smart Castellau Lord Mayor daughter.
