A smaller entry of sheep at the annual Sheddings sale in Ballymena attracted an excellent entry of top quality sheep. Prior to the sale, a show was held in each section judged by J Conway (BF) and P Donnelly, (Mule, GF and Suff X). BF Perth type cast ewes sold to £160 paid to Sam Adams, Broughshane. BF Lanark hoggets sold to £160 paid to Michelle Wright, Carnlough and to £140 per head paid to Andrew Adams, Ballymena who also received £122 per head for a pen of Perth type hoggets. Lanark ewe lambs sold to £130 and £128 per head paid to Sam Wallace and Seamus Mulvenna received £122 and £112 per head for 2 pens of Lanark ewe lambs. Perth type ewe lambs sold to £112 per head paid to Tom Adams, Rathkenny.

In the CB section, A Adams, Ballymena received £360 for a show lamb, while R Workman received £122 for a pen of Greyfaced. Mule ewe lambs sold to £105 paid to J Adams, Ballymena and both H Crawford and N Frew received £100 per head for pens of Mule ewe lambs.

A good entry of Suff X ewe lambs sold to £135 paid to R Thompson, Glenarm and £132 paid to Sandra Hunter, Bushmills. The annual sale of Mule ewe lambs at Ballymena Livestock mart on Tuesday evening attracted an excellent entry of 2476 lambs which met a much better trade than anticipated selling to a top price of £182 per head paid to Jimmy Mills for his 1st prize winning pen. The sale returned an overall average of £86.949, a drop of just under £5 per head on 2014.
