Another very good turnout of store cattle at Markethill on Saturday 20th June sold in a firmer demand.

There were several pens of heavy cattle on offer from producers preferring to sell their stock in the live ring. Both export buyers and local customers were in attendance.

HEIFERS

The 90 heifers were in excellent demand. Forward heifers to £303 for 600k at £1225. Main demand from £185 to £197 per 100 kilos. Top price £1265 for 670k (187). Middleweight heifers from £190 to £217 for 480k at £1050. Lightweight heifers from £200 to £225 for 384k at £865. Second quality heifers sold readily from £170 to £180 per 100 kilos.
