An entry of 85 cull cows at Markethill on Tuesday 1st September sold in a steady trade. Beef bred cows sold to £152 for 770k at £1170.

Main demand from £125 to £141 for 708k at £1000. Fleshed Friesian cows from £95 to £108 per 100 kilos with a top of £111 for 660k at £730. Second quality Friesians from £80 to £90 per 100 kilos with the poorest types from £54 to £75 per 100 kilos. Clean cattle from £150 to £178 for 704k at £1255.
