An increased entry of 640 store cattle, weanlings and sucklers at Markethill on Saturday 5th September sold in another very firm demand.

BULLOCKS

The 330 bullocks sold in an excellent trade. Forward bullocks to £208 for 612k at £1270. Main demand from £188 to £206 per 100 kilos. Top price £1375 for 678k (203). Good quality middleweights sold from £190 to £214 for 460k at £985. Lightweight steers from £200 to £260 for 338k at £880. Good quality forward Friesian bullocks sold readily from £145 to £169 for 516k at £875. Middleweight Friesians to £164 for 466k at £765. All good quality lots from £140 to £154 per 100 kilos.
