An entry of 190 cull cows at Markethill on Tuesday 17th November sold in a steady trade.

Beef-bred cows to £139 for 810k at £1125. Main demand from £118 to £134 per 100 kilos.

Fleshed Friesian cows from £87 to £108 per 100 kilos with a top of £111 for 696k at £770.

Second quality Friesians from £70 to £80 per 100 kilos with poorest types from £45 to £65 per 100 kilos.

CALVES: The 190 lots in the calf ring returned a firm demand with good quality bulls to £355 for a three week old Blue. Main demand from £250 to £325 each. Good quality heifer calves from £200 to £265 for an Angus. Good quality Friesian bulls sold from £80 to £150 with others from £30 to £60 each.
