Another good entry of cattle on Friday saw 119 weanlings sell to £985 for 366k from a Leitrim farm with many weanlings around 270p/k.

A top of 289 pence was paid for a 256k Lim heifer at £740 with a second lot 226k at £645 or 285p/k from the same farm. A Downpatrick farmer sold a 294k Sim male at £815 or 277p/k. A huge entry of heifers saw a 610k Fr from Drumlough sell at £1045. A top of 222p/k was paid for a 356k Lim at £790 from Katesbridge. A Ballymageough farmer topped the bullocks with a 658k BB at £1215 with a 578k Sim at £1155 from the same producer. Two AA bullocks from Dechoment at 498k at £1010 and 480k at £1000. Dropped calves were a flying trade with many selling at over the £300 mark to a top of £390 twice. This was paid to a Seaforde farmer for a Lim bull calf and a Hillsborough farmer for an Angus bull. A Katesbridge farmer sold a Her bull at £385.

A good trade for spring lambs and fat ewes on Tuesday evening, however hoggets were down in price. 65 spring lambs sold to a top of £100 for a Downpatrick farmer with most lambs from £90 up. 260 fat ewes were a flying trade to £134 for Teirkelly farms and to £132 for an Edenagarry farmer. The top 10 lots sold from £116 to £134. Hoggets sold to a top of £100 for a Corcreechan farmer.
