A great entry of cattle saw prices across the range well improved.

The bullock section was noticeably dearer. £600 over their weight was recorded for a Crossmaglen farmer with a Lim 460k at £1050. A 642k Her from the same farm sold at £1175. In the heifer section, heavy heifers sold to £1150 for a 566k Lim from a Shanrod farmer. 6 heifers from this farm averaged £1080 each. A Ballynahinch farmer sold a 536k Lim at £1055 and a 524k Lim at £1045. Store heifers sold to 215p/k for 358k at £770. The 90 weanlings sold to 308p/k for 3 BB heifers 177k at £545 from Cullyhanna. Another Cullyhanna farmer also received top price per head of £900 for a 348k Ch male or 250p/k. A Katesbridge farmer also obtained £900 for a 364k Lim. Fat cows sold to £1000 for a 812k Her heifer from Dromara. A young Pedigree Lim bull from Kilkeel sold at 1720Gns. Another big entry of dropped calves sold to £525, £505, £495, £490 and £460 for an Annalong farmer.

Just short of 1400 sheep on Tuesday evening with 250 fat ewe to £103 and over 1100 lambs to £79 for a Killylea farmer. Overall lambs were a lot cheaper with many from £3.00 to £3.30p/k.
