Every pen was filled on Friday with a big entry of cattle for July. 119 weanling calves cleared up to £990 twice for a 370k Lim from Dromara and a 436k Ch from Ballycoulter. A 390k Ch from this farm sold at £955.

A top p/k of 329 pence was paid for a 184k Lim at £605. 100 bullocks cleared up to £1335 fir a 646k Ch from a Rathfriland farmer who sold others at £1245, £1230 and £1225 (twice). A Ballybrick farmer sold a 696k Sim at £1280. The heifer section recorded a top of £1235 for a 624k Ch from a Corbet darmer who sold a 604k Lim at £1150. A Legananny farmer sold a 15 month old Ch heifer 528k at £1090. 14 Suckler cows with calves at foot sold to £1515 for a Kilcoo farmer. A Rathfriland farmer reached £1420 to average £1355 for 4. A young Ch bull from a Newry farmer sold at £1700 with fat cows to £925 for a 728k lot from Kilkeel. Dropped calf prices are simply amazing.

A Castlewellan farmer reached £470 for an Angus bull with 2 lots at £445 and £425. BB bulls also sold to £425 for a Ballynahinch farmer with heifer calves to £350 for an Annaclone farmer.

Edenagarry farmer: £1300. Banbridge farmer: £1250 (twice). Other sucklers sold from £1000 up.

The store lambs seemed to be cheaper but only just. 246 fat ewes cleared up to £79 for a pen of 19 from Hillsborough, followed by £78 for a Ballymartin farmer.

1233 lambs sold to £72 for 2 lots of 27k from Ballynahinch and 26k from Ballymartin. A Closkelt farmer sold 25k at £70 and a Lacken farmer 24k at £70. A Katesbridge farmer sold 39 lambs 25k at £69.50. A Moybrick farmer sold 25k at £68.50. Lisburn farmer: 23.5k at £68. Ouley farmer: 24k at £70. Annalong farmer: 40 lambs 23.5k at £67.
