Another 400 head of cattle entered on Friday with bigger numbers of fat cows around.

These topped at £1295 for a 940k Ch from Dromara with other cows at £830, £825 and £800 etc. A special entry of Holstein springing heifers from Downpatrick topped at £920 with an Angus bull from Clough at £1180. 125 weanlings cleared up to £900 for a 434k Ch male from Drumnascamp. A 380k Lim from Ballyroney sold at £805. Heifer calves sold to £755 for a 340k lot from Clough. Store heifers cleared up to £915 twice for Derrynose and Ballyward farmers. Bullocks sold to £1235 for a 674k Ch from Kinallen. A Ballyward farmer sold a 580k Ch at £1100. Dropped calves were all around two weeks old this week with a top of £295 (twice) for two Sim bulls from Newry.
