He was very impressed with the large show of breeds and wasted no time judging the line-up for the McLarnon Feeds/NISA dairy cow championship class.

He chose as his first qualifier, Cornagrally Gold Adele 4 VG89 from the Maghery Holstein herd owned by Norman and James Morton from Armagh.

This second lactation cow is yielding 47 kg daily.

The other qualifier was Holstein cow, Lisnagore Goldmine Ashleen, owned by George and Jason Booth, Stewartstown.

This second lactation cow is yielding 45kgs of milk per day and is classified VG 88.

So far it is a very impressive line-up of cows for the McLarnon Feeds/ NISA dairy cow championship.

Some of the top cows in Northern Ireland have qualified for the final at Clogher Valley Show on 27th July.
