Have your say

Since the start of their autumn/winter program Moneymore YFC have been very busy travelling the length and breadth of the country attending various events and competitions.

Some of the competitions attended have been flower arranging, public speaking and group debating.

Congratulations must go to Abbey Hunter, Jack Hunter, Jade Hunter and Zita Blair who all got to the finals held at Greenmount with Abbey gaining first place in the 16-18 prepared and impromptu categories.

The group debating team of Alison Davis, Abbey Hunter and John Sheppard attended the heats in Strabane and then the finals at Magherafelt High School.

As well as competitions the club has had a meals-on-wheels night, a night at Tobermore driving range, a spooky night at The Jungle and a visit to Aunt Sandra’s Chocolate Factory.

The club has also played host to YFCU president Martyn Blair. Other events attended have been Co Londonderry’s and Co Antrim’s dinner dances.

A very busy programme will commence in January as well as the club AGM being held. The club look forward to a very successful 2015.
