Holstein NI’s monthly dairy sales at the Pedigree Sales Arena near Moira resume on Wednesday 23rd September 2015.

Auctioneer Michael Taaffe has reported an entry of 28 fresh calved heifers and young cows.

Generously sponsored by Irwins Feeds, judging gets underway at 10.30am, and is in the capable hands of young breeder Sam Wadsworth from the Glenwood Herd based at Lisburn, Co Antrim. The sale will commence at 11.30am.

Herds represented in the catalogue include: Ards, Bannwater, Carrowcroft, Glasson, Happy, Hilltara, Karnvaston and Relough.

The heifers and cows on offer are daughters of leading AI sires such as Windbrook, Brawler, Fever, Wyman, Gunnar and Tiergan.

Auctioneer Michael Taaffe said: “This is our first show and sale of the new season, with sales scheduled monthly from now until April 2016. The catalogue features an exceptional line-up of milking heifers and young cows, all bred from proven genetics.

“Also on offer are the first milking daughters of top American bulls Co-Op Bosside Massey and De Su Mayfield to sell at auction in Northern Ireland.”
