Moy Park, one of Northern Ireland’s largest private sector employers, is sponsoring the ‘Poultry farmer of the year’ award at this year’s Farming Life and Danske Bank awards.

The ‘Poultry Farmer of the Year’ award has been generously supported by Moy Park since the inception of the awards five years ago.

As well as a number of awards recognising Northern Ireland’s primary producers, there is also a range of business awards and special recognition categories.

An additional category this year is the Farm SAFE Award, sponsored by the Farm Safety Partnership.

David Gibson, Moy Park Director of Agriculture said: “The annual Farming Life and Danske Bank Awards is a great way to recognise the ongoing dedication and hard work of farmers across Northern Ireland. Moy Park is extremely proud to work with over 600 poultry farmers and we view our sponsorship and ongoing support of the Farming Life ‘Poultry Farmer of the Year Award’ as a natural fit.

“We are looking forward to this year’s winner being crowned and will be on the lookout for entries that demonstrate a commitment to sustainability, welfare and quality; an ethos that we consider very important at Moy Park.

“Having sponsored the ‘Poultry Farmer of the Year’ category for the last number of years, and in our position as a leading food company that works closely with our farming base, we witness first-hand the continual hard work of poultry farmers.

“We would like to take this opportunity to wish all of this year’s entrants good luck.”

For full details of all the categories and how to enter, see the advert on page 16.

The closing date for entries is Friday, 4th September. The awards gala will take place in the Ramada Plaza, Belfast on Thursday, 29th October 2015.
