If you happened to be near Rathmore Memorial Hall on a Wednesday morning around 10am you might be thinking someone had “lost the plot” or was in serious diffs, but no- you would be wrong.

Under the excellent guidance of Colette about 25 to 30 members of Muckamore Women’s Institute are enjoying their Zumba Class.

The age range is from 22 to near 80! How’s that for a good club - all enjoying the same activity. With good lively music members step, march, clap, stretch, curl, twist etc and not one part of their anatomy is left out.

After an hour of non stop movement the members can relax and enjoy a healthy snack of fruit or yogurt and time to relax. So there really is more to being a W.I. member than tea and tray bakes. Muckamore W.I. members know how important it is to keep active which plays a very important roll in healthy ageing.

A special thanks goes to The Public Health Agency for the grant to fund the Zumba class and South Antrim Community Network for their support.
