Balmoral Show presents the very best of farming and food and this year is no exception.

The NI Food Pavilion is making a return over the 13th-15th May and exciting plans have been unveiled.

Michelle Shirlow, Food NI announced: “2015 will see the biggest ever NI Food Pavilion at Balmoral Show and the launch of Taste of Ulster TV! We are delighted with the wide variety of local foods represented and for the first time, we have a seafood presence which highlights the excellent work done by our fishermen.”

Talking about the exciting developments Michelle continued: “This year we also introduce our new ‘Talks and Tastings Area’ which will allow visitors to hear from the skilled producers who work tirelessly to create the delicious local food and drink we know and love. We will have the Tesco Cookery Theatre and Taste of Ulster TV Kitchen featuring popular cookery demonstrations each day with our Taste of Ulster chefs who will champion a local food producer.”

The plans surrounding the NI Food Pavilion will surly tantalise Show goers taste buds and the launch of a new YouTube channel adds to the excitement. Mrs Shirlow commented: “We are also launching Taste of Ulster TV, an exciting YouTube channel with a host of short videos. Come along and be one of the first to sign up for regular updates on how to make the best of local produce. Make sure you visit the NI Food Pavilion – it will awaken your senses #OurFoodSoGood.”
